Does spending a week on the breathtaking coast of Big Sur practicing yoga and hiking in awe-inspiring landscapes make your heart sing and spirit soar? Join the director of Yosemite-based Balanced Rock Foundation for a week of inward and outward reflection and appreciation of a truly magical landscape. This workshop focuses on the importance of spending mindful time in nature. This simple act has profound effects. Highlights of this retreat include: optional sunrise meditation, daily four–eight-mile nature hike and optional restorative yoga sessions. There will be time and space to enjoy the renowned Esalen baths, literally soaking in our seascape and nourishing ourselves with Esalen meals and luxurious time in connection with the land.

This welcoming week offers a great introduction to the healing and transformative powers of Esalen and mindfulness in wild spaces. By walking among redwood giants, hearing the rhythmic sounds of the ocean waves and learning natural history and lore of the area, you can connect more deeply with your surroundings and ultimately with your own true nature.

Note: $60 course fee has been added to tuition to cover park permit and entrance fees.
