In addition to the fundamentals of teaching methodology, ethics, alignment, and extensive study of age-old wisdom, the WildYoga Teacher Training brings a focus to yoga as a form of environmental stewardship and explores its roots in the forest and mountain ecosystems where it originated. We will combine a focus on asana practice, meditation, pranayama, ayurveda, yoga philosophy, teaching methodology, and anatomy with the opportunity for deep connection to the natural world. Offered in the stunning, sacred landscapes in and around Yosemite National Park, this training will invite us to deepen our understanding of yoga and ecology.
A key aspect that differentiates WildYoga is the deep integration of the natural world with our yoga practice. The uniqueness of these teachings is not only doing yoga in a beautiful outdoor location, it is doing our practice with the wild world, integrating the flow of the Merced River, or the stability of El Capitan’s granite into our experience. Indeed the wild world will be much more than a backdrop to our journey, it will be a living part of our practice!
This course is perfect for those who wish to complete a 200 hour yoga teacher certification that is inspired by the wisdom of Mother Earth!
Class size will be limited allowing for abundant instructor attention for each student.
Participants will leave the WildYoga Teacher Training with a strong home yoga and meditation practice, the confidence to teach yoga in any environment, and a solid, fun-loving yoga kula (community).
