Mind-Body-Spirit Journeys
Yosemite National Park is a world-heritage site celebrated as one of the most sacred places on earth. Our retreats and backpack trips harness the transformational power of nature to inspire deep connection with your own inner wisdom. Cultivate holistic health and wellness, rejuvenate yourself, and transform your life.
In our busy lives we often move too quickly to experience life fully. On a Balanced Rock course we slow things down to create space for awareness and appreciation. Our courses offer safe and supportive environments for new learning and personal discovery. Awaken your senses, become inspired, and find balance in the exquisite beauty of Yosemite on a Balanced Rock retreat.
Our backpacking journeys, weekend camping retreats, dayhikes, workshops, and lodge-based programs focus on a theme rather than on covering miles. Our expert staff bring a rare and unique combination of local Yosemite knowledge and passion for its natural history, with a spirited dedication to contemplative practices including yoga, meditation, and the creative arts. Our courses are generally appropriate for all levels of experience.
For those who would like to take their yoga practice to a deeper level, Balanced Rock is now offering a Wild Yoga Advanced Studies and Teacher Training Program. The next session will take place October 2013-February 2014. This unique advanced study program pairs nature with yoga on an exploration of interconnected prana.
