A series of empowering adventures culminate in a 4-day backpacking expedition in Yosemite National Park that is particularly impactful and life changing for youth at this age. On this empowering course, youth build confidence and leadership skills through new and sometimes challenging experiences such as backpacking and sleeping outdoors, perhaps for their first time. Participants also learn about practices for healthy living and tools to support their personal goals. This program utilizes the local public transportation system in an effort to educate and empower youth around utilizing resources in Mariposa County. Together we concentrate on stewardship & environmental justice concepts while appreciating the beauty of Yosemite National Park.
