MEET SARAH

🌿 Retreat Facilitator 🥾 Adventure Guide

Originally from the beautifully muggy swamps of the Southeastern US, Sarah has been living and working in Yosemite since 2018. After her graduate studies in ecology, she knew that the best use of her degree would be tromping through the dirt with school kids and park visitors, teaching them about the wonders of the natural world and how we are connected to it all.

Since moving to Yosemite, Sarah has spent over one-hundred nights in the Yosemite Wilderness for work, taught both environmental science and art classes, worked for the National Park Service and several park nonprofits, and gotten in the freezing cold river at least once a month.

Sarah loves nothing more than mountain rambling - including multi-day rock climbs in silly costumes, biking Yosemite roads before they open to cars, high sierra mermaiding expeditions, alpine watercolor treks, and ski swervin’ through the pines.

Sarah has been part of a variety of social justice spaces both in the Southeast and in Yosemite which allows her to structure her teaching and guiding from a trauma-informed lens that centers equity. She is an experienced mountain guide, educator, naturalist and art instructor who is grateful to spend her life helping others access joy and depth in natural spaces.
