  • Creating the Foundation

    WildYoga & The 5-Elements

    March 20-24, 2024

Beginning at Spring Equinox, we will plant the seeds for a fruitful yoga adventure! Themed on the 5-Elements philosophy and Balanced Rock’s unique curriculum, this first module introduces the 5-Elements and how they relate to Yoga through didactic presentations and experiential practice. In this module, we lay the foundations for a lifetime of exploration. Topics covered will include:

  • Cultivating Personal Practice

    Yoga & Ayurveda

    June 19-23, 2024

During the week of Summer Solstice, we will tend our garden by delving into Ayurveda; which translates to the “science of living skillfully." We will learn how to bring this holistic wisdom into our daily rituals and Yoga practices, building on the foundation we established in the first module. We will live in tune with the rhythms of nature as we bring Ayurvedic philosophy and theory to life each day. Topics covered will include:

  • Harvesting the Benefits

    Teaching Yoga Effectively

    September 18-22, 2024

At Fall Equinox, we will harvest the fruits of our labor by integrating all that we have learned; sifting and winnowing best practices while integrating our knowledge to share with our communities back home. This module will focus on finding your voice and polishing your teaching skills to evolve from a good yoga instructor to a truly great and inspiring facilitator. Topics covered will include:

    • Effective sequencing & theming a yoga class

    • Verbal cueing & finding your voice

    • Ethics & consent-to-touch principles

    • Hands-on assisting & adjusting

    • Instructor demos & student teaching practicums
